    Message from the Team

Thank you for playing Godzilla Battle Line.

Thanks to all of Godzilla’s dedicated fans, Godzilla Battle Line has surpassed 500,000 downloads in its first month since being released worldwide, with new players joining the monster war each and every day.
We want to thank all of our players again for stepping onto the battlefield with us!

We the operation team understand, however, that there are currently many in-game issues, and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience they have caused to players.

As such, we would like to take this opportunity to share with our players the current in-game issues and our plans to resolve them. Our explanation is a little long, but we appreciate you taking the time to read through it.

    ①Battle-related issues
First, in respect of battle-related issues, we are currently aware of problems preventing progression at various points during battle, or preventing matching in the first place.

Investigating and resolving these issues is our top priority, however this process is taking some time as we are receiving reports from players all over the world about these issues arising in a variety of situations.

We have resolved some of the issues relating to matching in Version 1.1.4, however we will continue to work hard with a focus on first fixing the major, frequently occurring issues.
We sincerely apologize for the ongoing issues, and thank you for your understanding.

    ②Dealing with fraudulent activities
Regarding fraudulent activities, we are aware that some players are improperly falsifying data in order to send out battle pieces at speeds that are impossible in normal game play, and have received many reports regarding such behavior through our inquiries form.

The operation team considers such cheating a very serious problem, as it takes away the fun of the game for those who are following the rules.
As such, we will be taking strict action in response, including permanently suspending the accounts of players found to be cheating.

In addition, we have confirmed that there are certain vulnerabilities within the game itself, and so have formed a dedicated anti-fraud team to deal with the above-mentioned players engaged in fraudulent activities, as well as to make fundamental improvements to the game itself.

Our first action will be to improve the program to resolve most of the identified vulnerabilities in an update scheduled for this month.
In addition, we have introduced specialized anti-fraud tools and enhanced our fraud detection functions, and are committed to eliminating fraud throughout the game as soon as possible.

    ■ Game balance
While we are happy to hear that so many players are enjoying Godzilla Battle Line, we have also received some negative feedback regarding the game’s balance.

①Battle balance heavily depends on battle pieces’ levels There is currently a large difference in the parameters of battle pieces at different levels, such that the side with the higher level battle pieces tends to have a huge advantage.

This game is not intended to be one in which the winner of a battle is determined solely by which side has the highest level battle pieces.
We aim to create battles in which the tide can be turned depending on which battle pieces are sent out, at what time, and in what situation, and above all, to give players an opportunity to aim for victory with a team made up of their favorite monsters.
As such, we believe there is a need to alter the game’s balance.

We are planning to make major adjustments to the balance in the update scheduled for release at the end of this month, and to raise the parameters of rare battle pieces at a low level so that they can start playing an active role in battle from an early stage.
We will also adjust how the parameters of battle pieces of different rarities change as they are leveled up.

We believe this will reduce the number of cases in which newly acquired 4★ battle pieces are not able to play an active role, and make it easier to incorporate them into a team immediately after acquisition.

    ②Matching logic and trophy loss
We are aware of a number of matching-related issues in ranked battles, including difficulty in matching and repeatedly matching with the same opponent.

The current system searches for opponents based on a player’s country and region, and their current Arena Rank.
While Godzilla Battle Line has many players worldwide, this system can cause issues with matching depending on a player’s particular location and Arena Rank.

We therefore plan to make some changes to the matching logic in the next update, so that the search for opponents will be conducted on a gradually widening basis.
We expect this will reduce the time taken to match with an opponent.

It will, however, also increase the chances that players are matched with an opponent whose Arena Rank is higher than their own.
As such, from next Season, we will make adjustments to reduce the number of trophies lost upon defeat.

    ③Obtaining G-tokens needed for upgrading
In response to comments that the amount of G-tokens (required to upgrade battle pieces) earned in-game is generally low, we will be adjusting when and how many G-tokens can be obtained throughout the game.

As with other balance-related adjustments, we will also continue to make changes as needed based on the experiences of players.

In the future, we plan to add new opportunities to the game for players to earn G-tokens.

    ■ Regarding future updates
As discussed above, we are currently working to resolve in-game issues, as well as adopt greater anti-fraud measures and carry out balance adjustments so that all players can enjoy fair and fun battles.

In addition, in the first month since launching our game worldwide, we have received feedback from many players that they would like to see additions to the game beyond ranked battles.
Our development team is working on updates alongside us, and we plan to soon release a roadmap on new elements we intend to add in the future.

Thank you very much for reading our explanation of current in-game issues and our plans to resolve them.
All of us in the development and operation teams will continue to work hard to make Godzilla Battle Line a game that can bring monster-sized, toothy grins to players worldwide for many years to come.

We hope you continue to enjoy playing Godzilla Battle Line.
